ABOUT THE SCHOOL   

This is a new school founded in 2010 in Dodoma Municipality. The school aims at running courses in Business Management, Accountancy and Finance, Marketing, Procurement and Supply, ICT and other business related courses, on full time and evening.

ASEKI has already been registered by BRELA as Business Company dealing with training. This was a very important and necessary initial step to make ASEKI a legal business entity. Nevertheless, in order for ASEKI to be recognized nationally and internationally as an Institution of Higher Learning it has to be registered or at least be recognized by an appropriate regulatory body or bodies dealing with training. In this regard, we chose to register ASEKI to the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) because the founders resolved to make ASEKI an Institution of Higher Learning to run competence based training. In August 2010, we submitted our first three curricula for certificate levels. These are curricula for Basic Certificate in Business Administration, Basic Certificate in Accountancy, and Basic Certificate in Procurement and Supply.

The feedback we have received so far from NACTE is very positive and encouraging. We are now working on their suggestions and recommendations before we submit the final drafts. To be conservative, if things go well as planned, we hope to be through with NACTE by April or June 2011. And this will be the time before our first intake graduate. Therefore, we expect our first graduates to be recognized by NACTE.

As far as Quality Assurance is concerned, we have already appointed two Boards that is, Board of Directors and Board of Examiners. These boards are made up of people of high integrity and good academic background. To know their names please follow appropriate links on this website.

First classes started in October 2010, in the three certificate courses, that is Basic Certificate in Business Administration, Basic Certificate in Accountancy, and Basic Certificate in Procurement and Supply.  New classes are expected to start early March 2011 after the release of the National Form Four Certificate results.  So please join us with CONFIDENCE. The courses which will start on March will also be on certificate level only.
